Offaly Players Visit our School
The children were delighted to welcome our K/K minor contingent who were part of the victorious Offaly minor hurling team. What great role models these young men are.
Dance Day
On Friday the 10th of June, Lisa Hogan (dance teacher) visited the school to teach the children dance. All classes engaged with the lessons on the day. We thank our Board of Management for funding this activity.
K/K Heroes Visit
Tuesday the 17th of October was a special day in our school. Management and players from the K/K team who won the senior hurling county championship, paid a visit to our school. They brought with them the all important Sean Robbins Cup. The K/K players and management were so good as they posed for pictures with the boys and girls. We wish K/K the very best as they embark on their journey in the Leinster Championship when they take on Naomh Eanna of Wexford, in three weeks time. Hopefully they will be visiting our school shortly again, with more silverwear. K/K Abú!
Safe Cross Code
This week boys and girls have been busy learning about road safety and how important it is to be safe on the road. The boys and girls in the junior room revised the rules of the road and learned their Safe Cross Code.
CYCLE RIGHT
As the weather is getting warmer more children are out and about on their bikes. Today we refreshed ourselves on the rules of the road that keep us safe when we are on our bikes. Boys and girls also brought in their helmets and we discussed why it is so important to wear a helmet when cycling a bike.
Water Safety - PAWS
This year all pupils took part in the PAWS programme. It is very important for children to be aware of the dangers around water whether is at the beach, near a river or on a farm.

The Young Whistlers
All the pupils were very excited to take part in the young whistlers programme. It gave each pupil a chance to be a referee during football games. To be a referee they needed to learn all the rules of the game. All pupils loved taking part in the programme and as a result of the programme Cathal Kilmartin got the chance to referee in Croke Park at half time games. Well done everybody!
All pupils put a great effort into their time trials.
