As part of 'Healthy Eating Week' we integrated healthy eating into many of our curricular subjects throughout the week. We encouraged pupils to bring in healthy lunches everyday and we also hosted a breakfast club. Every morning all pupils sat together to enjoy a wholesome breakfast. Children enjoyed beans and toast, a selection of cereals and porridge with honey and fruit. We also arranged for Dr. Caoimhe Gibbins to come out to the school to give a talk to parents about healthy eating as part of our 'Healthy Eating Week'.
Sixth class had the responsibility of making pancakes for the rest of the students in the school. Everyone enjoyed their pancakes with the topping of their choice. Thanks to sixth class for being great chefs. To mark St Brigid's day each child made their own St. Brigid's Day Cross. It was wonderful to see the children's creative skills come to the fore. Thanks to Fr. Walsh for coming out to bless our crosses. |
