Thanks to everyone who took part in the making of the St. Patrick's Day Float. It looked great on the day and it sent out a clear and important message to all. The pupils were very proud to see all their art work assembled together on the float. The pupils had a great day and they always love taking part in the St. Patrick's Day Parade. The day got even better when it was announced that St. Kieran's NS won the Cafe Royale Trophy. Well done to all. We in St. Kieran’s N.S. would like to invite you to come and visit our school on Thursday the 16th of March at 2 p.m. The pupils of St. Kieran’s N.S. will show you a few examples of different subject areas that are taught within the school. Your children will then be engaged and entertained in station play while you will get the opportunity to relax, talk and have a cup of tea.
It is going to be a very exciting month in school. Ms McGuire brought in an incubator filled with hen and duck eggs. It takes 28 days for the ducklings to hatch and 21 days for the chicks to hatch. All the pupils are very excited and it is going to be a great learning experience for all. Well done to Donnchadh who represented our school in the National Spelling Bee Competition in Tullamore. You were super and the school is very proud of you. Well done.
The junior room had great fun during maths lessons this week. We played our fishing game. Junior and senior infants were fishing for sums to answer while 1st and 2nd class were fishing for clocks to tell the time. Its great to see pupils learning and using maths while having fun!!
Well done to our two sixth class pupils for making pancakes for everyone. Each pupil got to choose their own delicious topping. |
