Well done to the debaters of St. Kieran's N.S. who recently debated against St. Flannan's N.S., Rathcabbin in the Council Chamber in Birr library. The motion under consideration was 'Children know how to use the internet safely'. The children of St. Kieran's N.S. debated against the motion. We are extremely proud of our debaters as they debated in a most impressive manner. Well done!

National Science Week took place from the 8th - 15th of November. We had a great week enjoying science on a daily basis in school. It was wonderful to see the children having so much fun with science and getting plenty of hands on experience with the subject. The children carried out experiments in the strand areas of magnetism and electricity, plants and animals and energy and forces. They also engaged in various baking activities providing us all with tasty treats! Take a look at the slide show below and look at some of the experiments we took part in throughout the week. |
