Each year we give our incoming Junior Infants the opportunity to experience school before the end of the school year in June. On Friday the 19th of May we will be starting our 'Induction Hour'. This is where our incoming junior infants are invited to come to the school every Friday from 1pm - 2pm.
The hour will be filled with lots of fun activities to help the children settle in. This has proved to be a very positive experience that the children enjoy. The 'Induction Hour' will provide children with the opportunity to help adapt themselves to primary school life and get used to their new surroundings for September.

St. Kierans NS is currently taking part in an eight week athletics programme. At the start of the programme the pupils undergo time trials and their times are recorded. The pupils then take part in one athletic session a week which involves different types of relays and exercises. At the end of the eight weeks the pupils take the time trials again and hopefully all pupils fitness levels have increased.
