Broughall NS was delighted to welcome two little visitors to our school yesterday. With the lambing season in full swing, two baby lambs visited the boys and girls of Broughall NS. The boys and girls got the opportunity to feed and embrace the recently new born lambs. It was lovely to see the children engage in such a gentle, caring manner with the two lambs. Míle buíochas to 'Feirmeoir Michael' for bringing the lambs to our school.

On Wednesday the 16th of March, the school held a Coffee Morning to help those who are suffering as a result of the Ukrainian conflict. We raised a total of €1800. Everyones generosity towards such a good cause was simply outstanding. Well done everyone.
Our story of the week in Irish last week was 'The Gingerbread Man'. Today we put our cooking skills to the test and made our own Gingerbread Men. There was no way that they were going to escape from our oven with the children keeping such a close eye on them.
To get into the season of spring each child decorated a flower pot with drawings of flowers. They then planted a dahlia bulb in their pot. The boys and girls are excited to see whos plant will grow the tallest.
Over the past couple of weeks the boys and girls have been busy making their own scarves and snoods. They used a looping method which was brilliant for developing their fine motor skills. Well done boys and girls!
The boys and girls made their own pancakes today. They enjoyed making the pancakes and enjoyed eating them even more. |
