On Monday the 14th of December the junior room had a special Christmas treat. In school the children enjoyed reading and listening to the Christmas story 'A Hippo for Christmas'. The children then got to go to the theatre to see their story come to life. All pupils were very excited and really enjoyed the experience.
On Wednesday the 9th of December students in the junior room had a great day out in Birr library. First we watched the Christmas movie 'The Polar Express' on a big screen. When the movie had finished we all settled down in the children's area of the library and read different books. It was a day enjoyed by all. It's that time of year when everyone works together to decorate the school for Christmas. Pictures below is the oldest pupil in the school helping the youngest put the star on the top of the Christmas tree. When we finished putting up all the decorations we sang Christmas Carols around the tree.
On Tuesday the 1st of December a 'Green Schools Workshop' was held within the school. All pupils got together to discuss ways we can look after the environment. We learned all about road safety and we got all got a high visibility vest to bring home. We also discussed having a 'Bike Day' in Borra when the weather gets better. We finished up the day with a Green Schools committee meeting.
